Information
Disna Forestry was established in January 1940 as part of seven forestries: Disna, Luzhkovskoye, Germanovichskoye, Miorskoye, Iodskoye, Franoppolskoye, and Yaznenskoye.
Currently, there are nine of them: Germanovichskoye, Disna, Luzhkovskoye Experimental Production, Miorskoye, Novopogostskoye, Perebrodskoye, Prozorokskoye, Uzmenskoye, and Yaznenskoye.
The forest fund area is 102.2 thousand hectares, of which 70.8 thousand hectares are covered by forest.
Industrial production has the following base:
- logging site;
- repair and mechanical workshops;
- loading and unloading point for timber onto wagons.
GLHU "Disna Forestry" sells:
- timber;
- lumber;
- ornamental tree saplings;
- small architectural forms according to individual designs (gazebos, swings, benches).
offers:
- hunting complex services: two houses (for 5 and 6 people) in a pine forest on the bank of the Western Dvina River (10 km from Disna, 30 km from Polotsk) with all amenities, a bathhouse, gazebos, and a boat.
- hunting and ecological tourism: organization of hunting, equipped camping, visits to healing springs and specially protected areas, including the republican reserves "Yelnya" and "Zhada".
Disna Hunting and Forestry Enterprise was established in 1997.
The area of hunting grounds is 41 thousand hectares, including 12.3 thousand hectares of forest, 23.6 thousand hectares of fields, and 5.1 thousand hectares of wetlands.
Hunting is conducted for elk by calling and driving, for wild boar, roe deer from stands, and by driving; geese stop during their migration.
