From May 25 to June 5, 2026, the State Automobile Inspectorate will conduct a special set of events called "Attention — Children!", and on May 29, 2026, a Unified Road Safety Day under the slogan "Children on the Road — We Are Responsible for Them!"

The main goal of this event is the prevention and prophylaxis of child road traffic injuries.

The preventive campaign is designed to draw public attention to the issue of ensuring children's safety on the road, and to increase the level of responsibility of parents and drivers.

Over the past period of 2026, 10 traffic accidents involving minors occurred in the Vitebsk region, in which 11 minors were injured.

During the campaign, vehicles must travel with their low beam headlights on during daylight hours. Special attention will be paid to drivers' compliance with speed limits, rules for passing pedestrian crossings, public transport stops, and courtyards.
