On March 28, 2024, a unified road safety day will be held in the district under the title 'Following the Rules is the Foundation of Safety'.
The goal is to prevent unsafe movement on personal mobility devices (PMDs). Those who move on PMDs are considered pedestrians.
The traffic police department of the Miory District Department of Internal Affairs reminds you of the rules for using PMDs: crossing the roadway on a PMD must be done on sidewalks or shoulders, without creating obstacles for pedestrian traffic.
It is forbidden to move on PMDs at a speed exceeding 25 km/h or while intoxicated; to transport anyone outside of specially equipped seating areas provided for by the PMD's design; to not hold onto the handlebars (if available); for persons under 14 years of age to use PMDs (except in pedestrian and residential zones).
Citizens who have reached the age of 16 are subject to penalties for violating the traffic rules of the Republic of Belarus for pedestrians moving on personal mobility devices.
