"Unfading Light" is the name of the exhibition of works by participants of the International Humanitarian Plein-Air Exhibition Project "Russian Atlantis", which will open on April 25, 2024, in the conference hall of the Miory Central District Library.

The picturesque canvases depict ancient Orthodox churches and monasteries, the amazing architecture of small towns, and magnificent nature.

Only professional artists are selected to participate in the International Project. The organizational and artistic guidance of the project is carried out by Lyudmila Yuga, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Full Member of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts, People's Artist of Russia; Irina Dashevskaya, member of the International Association of Art Critics, Candidate of Economic Sciences; and the project's author and leader, Vitaly Vasiliev, Full Member of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The organizers and partners of the "Russian Atlantis" project have held over 120 plein air sessions, as well as about 140 thematic exhibitions and master classes in Minsk, Polotsk, Dokshitsy, Glubokoye (Belarus), Moscow and St. Petersburg (Russia), Lombardy, Liguria, and Basilicata (Italy), in Baden-Baden and Badenweiler (Germany), Chennai, Mumbai, and New Delhi (India), Rajasthan and West Bengal, as well as at other renowned venues.

Over a thousand participants from 19 countries were involved in the project. Artists from Belarus also contributed to the project's plein air activities.

The Orthodox faith, traditions, and the Divine world surrounding us, even through the centuries, can, as creative forces, truly elevate a person to new levels of spiritual perfection, provide them with food for new philosophical reflections, ennoble them, and endow them with creative potential.

The exhibition is another important step towards strengthening friendly relations between the peoples of Russia and Belarus through shared values and culture.

Svetlana Ryzhikova, a graphic artist and illustrator, laureate of the National Competition "Art of the Book" in the "Mastery" nomination, and a teacher at the Minsk State Art College named after A. K. Glebov, will conduct a master class for students of the Miory Children's Art School.

The organization of the exhibition "Unfading Light" was initiated by the leadership of the Miory District Executive Committee and representatives of the All-Russian public organization "Russian Club of Orthodox Patrons", with the support of the Tver regional branch of the "Union of Orthodox Entrepreneurs", the Russian Peace Foundation and the Eurasian Business Club.
