Fishing is prohibited in the Vitebsk region

From April 8 to June 10, fishing is prohibited in the Vitebsk region. An exception is made for fishing with one rod with one hook or one spinning rod, equipped with an artificial lure with no more than two single, double, or treble hooks, during daylight hours, from the shore, or artificial structures (except for structures for which restrictions and prohibitions are established). Violation of these Rules entails a fine ranging from 10 to 30 base units with confiscation of fishing gear or without confiscation; for an individual entrepreneur - from 20 to 100 base units, and for a legal entity - from 100 to 500 base units. Damage caused to the environment during the spring fishing ban is calculated at triple the amount. A person who voluntarily surrenders prohibited fishing gear is exempted from administrative liability.
