March 15 – Consumer Day

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of March 26, 1998, No. 157 "On State Holidays, Public Holidays and Memorable Dates in the Republic of Belarus", March 15 is annually celebrated as a holiday – Consumer Day.

In 2024, Consumer Day in the Eurasian Economic Union member states is held under the motto "Consumer and Entrepreneur: Trust for Development" (the corresponding recommendation was adopted at the meeting of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission of January 23, 2024, No. 2 "On the theme of joint events of the Eurasian Economic Union member states in the field of consumer protection in 2024").

The theme "Consumer and Entrepreneur: Trust for Development" is designed to draw public attention to the issues of interaction between consumers and entrepreneurs and strengthening the space of trust between them for the effective functioning of the economy. The foundation for such work is laid by the Program of Joint Actions of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States in the Field of Consumer Protection.

For reference:

The Program of Joint Actions of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States in the Field of Consumer Protection was adopted by the Order of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council of June 21, 2022, No. 12. The Program provides for annual work on informing and educating the population of the Eurasian Economic Union on consumer protection issues. The theme of such work is determined annually, starting from 2023, and is fixed by a recommendation of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
