Electricity for heating
Each year, more and more citizens choose electricity for heating their individual residential houses. Annually, over a hundred such facilities are connected to the power grids in the Miory district alone.
Electric convectors and electric boilers are typically used for heating residential houses and apartments. Each type of electrothermal equipment has its advantages and disadvantages. For example, if a residential house already has a heating system with a liquid heat carrier, then installing an electric boiler is the most expedient option in this case, as it can advantageously complement the existing heating system and even work in conjunction with it. Conversely, if the household was heated by a stove, installing an electric boiler will require significant financial investment, considering the complexity of installing a heating circuit (pipelines, radiators). In this case, citizens mostly tend to use electric convectors. Thanks to their modern design, to suit any taste, and compact size, they will fit harmoniously into the interior and will be completely unnoticeable. Thin flexible wires, compared to pipelines, are significantly easier to lay throughout the house without damaging walls and ceilings. Another advantage of electric convectors is their reliability; for instance, if one or two electric appliances fail, the others will remain operational. In the case of electric boilers, the burnout of the heating element is likely to leave the entire house without heating.
Regardless of the type of electric heating appliances chosen, improper operation can lead to a fire or electric shock. To protect your life, the lives of your loved ones, and those around you from emergency situations, it is necessary to comply with electrical and fire safety requirements.
First and foremost, before using electric heating appliances, you must familiarize yourself with the manufacturer's instructions. The installation and operation requirements set forth in the instructions are mandatory.
Protective devices, cross-section of supply conductors, and plug connectors must match the power of the connected electric heaters. Live parts must be reliably protected against accidental contact.
Operation of heaters with visible mechanical damage, a faulty thermostat, or a removed protective grille (if provided by the design) is prohibited.
The use of electric heaters in high-humidity rooms characterized by excessive dampness (condensation on ceilings and walls) is prohibited, except for equipment specifically designed for such purposes.
Electric heaters must not be installed directly under sockets, in front of flammable objects, or in close proximity to bathtubs, showers, or swimming pools.
On heaters with a warning label "Do not cover" or a corresponding prohibition sign, it is forbidden to place foreign objects, cover with cloth, dry clothes on them, etc.
If extraneous noises and odors appear during the operation of electric heating equipment, it must be immediately disconnected from the power supply and specialized personnel must be called for repairs.
Periodic technical maintenance and cleaning of electrothermal equipment from dust and dirt must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Maintenance of contact connections and switching devices of panels and assemblies is best done before each heating season. When performing cleaning and maintenance work, the appliance must be disconnected from the power grid.
Repair of electric heaters, as well as technical maintenance, must be entrusted only to specialized organizations with trained, qualified personnel.
