Ice thickness on water bodies of the Miory district

OSVOD reminds about the danger of going out on melting ice

Every year, many people neglect safety precautions and go out on thawing spring ice, thereby putting their lives in mortal danger.

Ice at least 7-10 cm thick in fresh water is considered safe for humans. The strength of the ice is weakened at the mouths of rivers and tributaries. Specialists from the Miory rescue station have measured the ice on the reservoirs.
