Orange hazard level due to heavy snow and wind declared in Belarus

On February 7, heavy snowfall is expected in the northeastern half of the country. In many areas, forecasters predict strengthening winds with gusts up to 15–20 meters per second.

To ensure your safety on this day, we have prepared simple but very important rules!

Drivers:
– maintain a safe distance and speed;
– be especially attentive at intersections and pedestrian crossings;
– avoid dangerous maneuvers such as overtaking and lane changes;
– ensure your windshield wipers and headlights are in working order.

Pedestrians:
– cross the road only at designated places;
– be especially attentive when crossing the roadway. It is important to adequately assess the traffic situation;
– wear reflective elements on your clothing or bags;
– do not stand under trees or unstable structures.
