Water bodies most popular among ice fishing enthusiasts, located within the territory of the Miory district

The Miory district organization of the republican state-public association "Society for Rescue on Waters" (OSVOD), during raid activities on the water bodies of the Miory district, has identified a number of lakes that are most popular among ice fishing enthusiasts, located within the district:

1. Lake Miory (Miory town)
2. Lake Obsterno (Perebrodye village)
3. Lake Ortsy (Ortsy village)
4. Lake Katilovo (Katilovo village)
5. Lake Nobisto (Perebrodye village)
6. Lake Vazha (Murashki village)
7. Lake Bolshoye Yazno (Yazno village)
8. Lake Osinovka (garden association Vesnyanka)
9. Lake Voron (Klyotov Dvor village)
10. Lake Churilovo (Churilovo Blizhnee village)
11. Lake Gretskoye (Cheresy village)
12. Lake Chres (Cheresy village)

District prevention entities continue to conduct raids on these water bodies to prevent and avert accidents involving people who go out on the ice. Rescuers remind ice fishing enthusiasts about possible underwater springs and thin ice areas, that when going on the ice, fishermen must wear a life jacket and ensure the ice is strong enough (ice thinner than 7 cm is dangerous). They provide instructions on how to avoid life-threatening situations on the ice and what to do if a person is drowning before your eyes.
