The informational and educational campaign "Belarus is an energy-efficient country" is taking place from November 8 to 11
From November 8 to 11, 2023, the Department for Energy Efficiency is holding the republican information and educational campaign "Belarus – Energy-Efficient Country" under the slogan "Switch on Energy Efficiency!". The campaign is timed to coincide with the International Day of Energy Saving, which is celebrated annually on November 11.
The campaign is held in order to implement the provisions of Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus of June 14, 2007 No. 3 "On Priority Directions for Strengthening the Economic Security of the State", the Law of the Republic of Belarus of January 8, 2015 No. 239-Z "On Energy Saving".
The purpose of the campaign is to raise public awareness of the importance of efficient use of energy resources, possible ways and methods of saving them, including in everyday life and at home, which is a significant measure in improving the well-being of citizens and the economic growth of the country as a whole.
Taking into account that the effective and rational consumption of energy resources largely depends on the mobilization of efforts of all state structures, institutions, organizations and business communities, public associations, and mass media, the Department for Energy Efficiency calls for joining the republican information and educational campaign "Belarus – Energy-Efficient Country" and taking an active part in informing employees and the public about the importance of energy efficiency and ways of energy saving in everyday life.
