Don't be invisible on the road!

Due to the shortening of daylight hours, dropping air temperatures, and precipitation, the road situation may become more complicated. Rain, wet snow, and frost are expected as early as today. In such weather, all road users must be extremely attentive and cautious.

Drivers should avoid sudden maneuvers and be prepared for the unexpected appearance of people on the roadway. Pedestrians must use reflective elements, cross the road only at designated places, and ensure that all vehicles have time to stop.

In order to minimize negative trends in road safety, the State Automobile Inspectorate will conduct a nationwide preventive campaign "Don't be invisible on the road!" from October 20 to 30. It is primarily aimed at preventing accidents involving pedestrians and cyclists, and is intended to remind about the importance of using retroreflective elements and high-visibility vests in the dark.

Throughout the country, traffic police patrols will be concentrated near accident-prone road sections and pedestrian crossings, and will monitor compliance with traffic rules by pedestrians and cyclists, especially in the dark. Increased attention will be paid to individuals in a state of intoxication.

Also, until October 30, the traffic police are conducting a set of preventive measures to improve the safety of passenger transportation in irregular services (by buses and taxis).

Remember that all occupants of a vehicle must be seat-belted, and children must be transported in special restraint systems appropriate for their weight and height. Ensuring children's safety is the responsibility of adults. Set a personal example by instilling in them rules of safe behavior.
