From October 9 to 13, 2023, the main stage of the special comprehensive event "Arsenal" will take place

From October 9 to 13, 2023, the main stage of the special comprehensive event "Arsenal" will be held in the Republic of Belarus.

Possession of unregistered weapons, ammunition for rifled weapons, explosive devices and substances entails criminal liability according to Art. 295 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. However, a person who voluntarily surrenders weapons, ammunition, and explosive substances and items in accordance with the note to Art. 295 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus is exempted from criminal liability.

The current version of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus also provides for exemption from administrative liability for a person who voluntarily surrenders a smooth-bore weapon or ammunition for it. According to Art. 24.46 of the Code, administrative liability is provided for this offense in the form of a fine ranging from 10 to 30 basic units with confiscation of the object of the administrative offense.

During the "Arsenal" comprehensive event, employees of the Internal Affairs Department of the Braslav District Executive Committee will focus their efforts on identifying cases of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition by citizens, as well as on checking the conditions of weapon storage by owners at their place of residence.
