The traffic police department of the Miory District Department of Internal Affairs informs
From October 2 to 8, due to the shortening daylight hours, the traffic police department of the Miory District Department of Internal Affairs will strengthen control over the observance of traffic rules by vulnerable road users (including persons using personal mobility devices) and persons using two-wheeled vehicles.
The main reason for accidents involving this category of road users is that in the dark, they move along the roadway "invisible" to drivers, not marking themselves with retroreflective elements.
The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds that, in accordance with Part 1 of Article 18.20 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, violation of traffic rules by a pedestrian, a person driving a bicycle, a horse-drawn vehicle, or a person participating in traffic and not driving a vehicle entails the imposition of an administrative penalty in the form of a fine of up to 3 basic units!
