Children and gadgets!
On September 25, the State Automobile Inspectorate will conduct a set of preventive measures "Children and Gadgets!", aimed at promoting law-abiding behavior of children on the road, the inadmissibility of using mobile phones, headphones, and other devices while driving.
Since the beginning of the current year, 22 traffic accidents involving minors have been registered in the Vitebsk region, in which 1 child died, 26 minors were injured, 15 of them were child passengers. Road traffic accidents are one of the main problems of the entire region as a whole. But the most brutal aspect of traffic accidents is child injuries. The surge in child road traffic injuries begins in April and continues throughout the year, and this happens every year. This problem significantly affects the accident rate, causing a great public outcry. And therefore, it simply cannot go unnoticed.
One of the frequent causes of traffic accidents is the use of mobile devices by their participants. All sorts of gadgets are the scourge of our time. Drivers and pedestrians get distracted by them, thereby losing vigilance and becoming the perpetrators of accidents. Drivers put themselves and others in danger, talk on the phone, showing their disrespect, and even when they simply look at the phone and not at the roadway, because at that moment a collision or impact can occur. Headphones with loud music also prevent pedestrians from carefully monitoring everything that is happening around. Sometimes children in headphones walk along the roadway, cross it, without paying attention to a fast-moving car, which is extremely dangerous behavior on the road.
However, most such situations can be avoided by learning to be observant, predicting the development of the situation in various road conditions. To do this, when approaching the roadway, you need to fully concentrate on the road situation, putting headphones and your phone in your bag and removing your hood in bad weather. After all, the timely heard noise of an approaching car on the road can save your life, while one phone call or SMS can destroy it. The State Automobile Inspectorate appeals to road users: - Be attentive, careful, and cautious on the road; - Be an example of correct behavior! Do not rush; - Do not wear headphones with loud music and hoods! Always look around; - Do not get distracted by phones and gadgets, especially when crossing the road or if you are driving a vehicle!
