1. On handicraft activities

The Ministry of Taxes and Levies Inspectorate for the Polotsk District reminds that from July 1, 2023, artisans who have not ceased their activities, in the absence of a decision by local executive and administrative bodies on the application of a fee for carrying out handicraft activities, are obliged to switch to the application of the tax on professional income.

Artisans who claim to apply the fee after June 30 can submit information about their activities to the local authorities at their place of residence, based on which a decision will be made on the possibility of applying the fee by a specific individual.

The types of activities related to handicraft are provided for by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 364 dated October 9, 2017 "On the implementation of handicraft activities by individuals"

2. Care for burial sites

To keep burial sites looking neat, regular cleaning of debris and excess vegetation, cleaning and painting of fences, leveling of the plot, and maintenance and repair of installed monuments are necessary. Such services are in high demand today. If you decide to provide such services, take care of the legality of your earnings: you can work, at your choice, either by paying a single tax (if the customers are individuals) or by applying the tax on professional income (customers can be individuals, legal entities, or individual entrepreneurs). The single tax rate per month in the city of Miory and Miory district is 94 rubles; the tax is paid before the start of the activity. When applying the tax on professional income, do not forget to generate receipts for each transaction!

We also remind you that you cannot involve other persons in your activities – each individual must pay taxes independently for their side jobs.

3. Do not pass by…

Year after year, tax authorities, in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, carry out measures to seize counterfeit alcohol from illegal circulation. Drinks of dubious quality are manufactured using semi-artisanal methods, and the manufacturer is only interested in personal gain, not in the degree of impact on the consumer's health. But consumers are someone's relatives and loved ones!

For illegal circulation of alcoholic products in the Republic of Belarus, both administrative liability (up to 100 basic units) and criminal liability are provided, when it comes to obtaining income in a large amount or when the consumption of surrogate alcohol leads to the death of persons who consumed it. But no punishment of the guilty will restore lost health or bring a person back.
